Creative Art Classes

Ages 8-11 - Instructor: Sophia Chavez
Our weekly art classes are designed to inspire creativity while helping students build confidence and develop a wide range of artistic skills. Throughout the six-week session, students will explore a variety of mediums and techniques, including drawing, painting, mixed media, and occasionally 3D activity, with each project offering something new and exciting. Lessons are thoughtfully planned to encourage creativity, strengthen artistic foundations, and allow students to express their own unique ideas. Whether they're picking up a pencil, experimenting with paint, or creating a three-dimensional piece, students will enjoy a fun, supportive environment where they can learn, create, and grow as artists. All materials are included.

Cartooning

Cartooning is the perfect class for young artists who love cartoons, comics, and character design! Throughout the session, students will explore the fundamentals of cartooning while creating expressive characters, exciting scenes and diorama, and imaginative stories. Each week encourages creativity, builds drawing skills, and helps artists develop their own unique cartoon style in a fun and supportive environment.

Build a strong and original art portfolio while exploring a wide range of traditional and contemporary techniques. Students will develop their skills in drawing, painting, mixed media, and design through projects that emphasize observation, composition, creativity, and personal expression. Working with materials such as graphite, charcoal, ink, acrylic, watercolour, and pastels, students will strengthen their understanding of perspective, proportion, colour theory, and the elements and principles of design. Through creative exploration, artist studies, and constructive critiques, students will gain the confidence and technical foundation needed to create meaningful, portfolio-worthy artwork. All materials and supplies are included in the course fee.
